OHMs law is a fundamental law in physics that describes the relationship between current, voltage, and resistance in an electrical circuit. It says the current flowing through a conductor between two points is directly proportional to the voltage across the two points, and inversely proportional to the resistance between them. Mathematically, Ohm’s Law can be expressed as:
E = I x R
Where E equals voltage in volts, I equals current in amperes, and R equals resistance in ohms.
The power formula in electrical circuits relates the power consumption or generation of an electrical component to the current flowing through it and the voltage across it. The formula is:
P = I x E
Where P equals the power in watts, I equals the current in amperes, and E equals the voltage in volts.
OHMs law tells us how current, voltage, and resistance are related, while the power formula tells us how much power is being consumed or generated by an electrical component in a circuit. Together, these two formulas are essential in understanding the behavior of electrical circuits and designing and troubleshooting electrical systems.
