Young Man Tragically Dies at Lineman School
Young man tragically dies at lineman school on his way to chasing a dream. A heartbreaking incident occurred at Northwest Lineman College in Oroville, California. On March 25th, 2024, a 19-year-old student tragically lost his life.
What Happened at Lineman School?
According to a fellow student, the young man attempted to climb an older pole near the splicing pit, with the instructor’s approval. However, the pole snapped, causing him to fall onto a transformer. Despite efforts to revive him with CPR for over 30 minutes, he did not survive.
Here are his exact words:
“So a kid wanted to climb a older pole by the splicing pit where the Derek diggers are and he asked one of the instructors and he said it should be fine so he climbed it and when he got up the pole, the pole snapped, he fell back, and when he fell, he landed on a transformer, the transformer punctured through his chest through his back And the pole landed on him and squished him on the transformer and they were doing CPR for over 30 minutes in the field and he didn’t make it.”
An Eyewitness Account
Another student provided insight into the tragic event. During a competition, one student expressed concerns about the pole’s stability, but the instructor urged him to proceed. Sadly, the pole collapsed when the next student attempted to climb it next.
